Hey Wallace High School... glad to hear your project is going well and so many of you are appreciating the opportunity to get to know more about another culture. We met your lovely Miss Bonar aka Erica, when she was visiting Bolivia last year. We are working here for 2 years with children at risk and young people. We run an afternoon school, help with homework and give them the chance to have fun. Many have lot of responsibilities looking after younger brothers and sisters, many have to work and don't get much attention from their parents. So we laugh and play and give them thousands of hugs they desperately need. Sometimes it is hard to see the places they live and to hear their stories.
But it is a privilege to work with them and be a part in their lives. If you want to see more of you photos and work, please visit our website www.deanandruth.com
For the soultouchers... we still miss you guys and think of you often loads of love xxxx Ruth and Dean xxx

We at the newsroom were impressed with the enthusiasm and motivation of all those involved in the Uganda experience yesterday. I know that many people were touched by the stories being recounted and felt inspired. You're all doing a great job. Keep us up to date with everything you're doing!

Hey Ruth and Dean, it's Meghan from Wallace. I think you are doing such an amazing job! It's really nice to be in touch with people who are out there doing the hard work. I've just joined the class today, and from what I've heard so far, they've got good ideas for a water challenge. We're going to get in touch with all the feeder primary schools, and advertise it well in the school, maybe even get sponsorship from a water company not too far from here :D The challenge is to be sponsored just to drink water (no fizzy juice or tea or anything) for a set amount of time. The money raises will be split between where Miss Bonar worked, and another orphanage in Uganda called "Raising hope for Uganda" which is run by a man called Patrick. I'm really looking forward to helping out, and perhaps making a difference to peoples lifes. I'll definatly visit your website for more info :) love Meghan xxxxx

Hello :-)! We are all very enthusiastic about doing this water challange, hopefully all the primary schools will be as helpful as everyone else...

Ruth & Dean, we were very excited when we learned about your school and we were looking to find dout how it was going. How many children are there right now? Is it easy enough to look after everyone or does it get hard sometimes? What subjects do the children get taught? What ages do the children start/end school at? does it rain where you are or is it sunny all the time?

Write Back,
Alice And Laura-Anne

we are very excited about a water challenge that we have organised. We are hoping to get some schools in the area involved too.

(Ruth and Dean).

We have heard about your school.

How many kids are in the school and what sort of things do you do with them ??.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Hello Wallace High!!
This is Connie MacLeod from Winter Springs, FL...along with my dear hubby, Roddy, we met Miss Erica and Miss Lorna here in the states on their round the world Soul Touch mission. They are so very dear to us, as we are sure they are to you, and truly inspiring the way they radiate the love of Jesus to people in need all over the globe and right there in our beloved Scotland!

You are also very dear to us...and we have been praying for you for a few years now! We believe God has big plans for your lives...so be encouraged that this is not a random connection. Jesus, the God who breathed the universe into existence is so deeply in love with you that He is paving the path of an amazing journey for each of you. Our job is to listen for His sometimes quiet voice and fasten the seat belt, cause you never know where He will take you. But you can always be sure it will be an amazing adventure!

We hope to meet up with some of you when we move to Glasgow later this year. Till then, you are in our thoughts and in our prayers!
Love & hugs,
Connie & Roddy MacLeod

I sooo wanted to be part of the ugandan experience that recently took place at my school wallace high but unfortunatly wasn't able to but everybody who took part were amazing and contributed so much. It's really fantastic that so many people were wanting to be involved in the ugandan experience and to be part of something that helps improve the lives of people in other countries. Well Done :) xxx
